Employee Spotlight - John

Meet John, one of Proper Sky's talented Help Desk Technicians. John has been with Proper Sky for a year and a half, and is truly passionate about what he does. After studying IT and Cybersecurity in school — inspired by watching his mom build a career in tech — John dove into the foundations of networking, systems, and security practices, which laid the groundwork for where he is today. What he likes best about working as a Help Desk Technician is being able to solve real problems for clients, knowing that each fix makes someone’s day a little easier. He appreciates that every day brings a new challenge and an opportunity to learn, making the role rewarding and engaging.
For John, the best part about working at Proper Sky is the team. He finds the supportive, collaborative environment encourages growth and allows him to take true ownership of his work. As he continues exploring different areas of IT, he’s especially interested in cybersecurity — an area he focused on in school and is looking forward to gaining more hands‑on experience in. Currently, he’s working toward his CompTIA Network+ certification to build deeper expertise in that space.
Outside of work, John is an avid snowboarder and loves hitting the slopes in the winter. He also enjoys cooking, tackling hands‑on projects, and spending time with friends and family — all ways for him to stay creative and sharp. What excites him most is solving complex problems, learning new things, and being part of a team that makes an impact every day.
