Junior Network/Systems Administrator


  • Responsible for Installing, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining systems hardware, software, as well as related customer and internal infrastructure;
  • Designing, implementing and administering the company’s internal and client AWS and Azure/365 cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3, Intune, PowerShell, AWS CLI, Lambda, etc.; Documenting and implementing company best practices for addressing server configurations and setups in conjunction with Connectwise Automate, the Company’s Remote Monitoring & Management (“RMM”) system, and Network Administrations teams;
  • Configuring and setting up windows servers, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DFS, Remote Desktop Services, Network Printer Publishing and Access Rights, NTFS File Permissions, IIS, Offline Files & Folders, and SQL Server; Monitoring customer network performances to determine whether adjustments must be made to optimize performance; Adjusting and monitoring customer networks and systems;
  • Providing technical expertise to Help Desk Technicians as necessary; Offering complex troubleshooting services to customers with a “security-first” mindset as necessary;
  • Monitoring Backup & Disaster recovery systems to ensure adequate uptime and restoration service-level metrics; and Implementing best practices on both servers and workstations for customers.

Requires experience utilizing the following technology:

Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft 365, Linux, MS Active Directory, Azure AD, MS Exchange, MS Terminal Server, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune/System Manager, VMWare vSphere, LAN/WLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, POP3, SMTP, FTP(s), VPN; securing Customer Cloud-based networks including Endpoint Security, Dark-web Monitoring and Detection, Email Security Configuration (SPF, DKIM, Geo-IP, Access List Restrictions) and Event Log Monitoring; installing, configuring, and troubleshooting end-user workstations, mobile devices, etc; planning and executing infrastructure and server upgrade projects; configuring network security procedures, firewalls, and monitoring network activities; using Backup and Disaster Recovery (BDR) concepts and tools; and providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting issues.

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Requires 2 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Systems Support Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Travel (~30%) to unanticipated local/domestic client sites required.
